Make time for at least one stop on the Tennessee Whiskey Trail when visiting #Nashville. I popped into @corsairdistillery for a tour that includes a tasting flight. The highlight? Their Triple Smoke whiskey which gets its aroma and taste from Scottish peat, German beechwood and Wisconsin cherrywood. It`s unique and yummy. Have more time to explore? Be sure to get poker chips and trail passport stamps at any of the 25+ participating distilleries. Collect 17 and you get a trail-branded poker set! Talk about goal setting! We sampled five different spirits poured by Larame, our charming tour guide, who also introduced us to Ethel, a 1920s copper pot still used during the distilling process. Corsair is located in the restored Marathon Motorworks complex. It dates back to 1907 and was the first automotive manufacturer in the South. Wonderful wisteria...I love it! But if you`re considering it for your garden, set aside plenty of space and time for maintenance ...The first vine was in bloom in April (!) when I visited #HamptonCourtPalace near London...The second photo is the wisteria that draped over a pergola in our backyard. I had to trim it 3 times each season to keep it from overwhelming our small garden border...The third is wild wisteria that grows in the woods near our new home. Channel your inner Alice at the Wonderland: Curious Nature exhibition opening tomorrow @nybg ... I got a sneak peek earlier in the week and it`s a must-see. The garden`s Conservatory pool has giant Amazonian water lilies. There`s a traditional British flower border that transitions from tidy beauty into a mad, mad mess. Funky fungi, a giant rabbit, tea sandwiches, and gift shop goodies are all part of the fun. I fell hard for the chocolate olive oil cake served at one of my fave #HudsonValley restaurants...So I was tickled that @eliaelia.co sent me their premium Dark Chocolate & Espresso cake mix to try. You`ll need buttermilk and two large eggs - the EVOO needed to oil the pan and add to the mix is included. Whisk the wet ingredients then stir in the baking mix - no stand mixer needed (yeah!) Bakes in under an hour. Dust when cool with powdered sugar and serve to your lucky guests. The cake is moist and choco-licious and not overly sweet. You can amp it up with frosting - ELIA founder @candicehunsinger has Greek-inspired recipes on the website including one for Salted Coffee Buttercream (drool). A scoop of vanilla ice cream would also be perfect. At $30 a box, this is a special occasion treat - it would be fun to put together a bridal shower gift with the mix, a cake pan and mixing bowl. #chocolatelovers #cakelife #oliveoilcake
