I just happened to download the NY Times while traveling in Belgium and the lead article was about the strawberries that are grown just south of Brussels. Since our traveling party was heading to the Ardennes, a detour was the appropriate and delicious choice to make. Having an itinerary is important, but when the road less traveled starts calling your name, you gotta listen.
We’ve been eating these in Sweden. Swedes are a bit sensitive that their strawberries are the best. I have to say I love them all. What a delicious detour!
